JaxResearch affiliated sites throughout the State of Florida (Jacksonville Center for Clinical Research, Nature Coast Centers for Clinical Research, St. Johns Centers for Clinical Research and Westside Center for Clinical Research) have been recognized by the pharmaceutical industry and government agencies for quality clinical research conduct and excellent records of patient recruitment and retention.
Each site demonstrates a distinctive blend of physician expertise and patient demographics, meeting the criteria of over 300 clinical trials annually. Principal investigators are often invited to contribute to development of protocol feasibility processes and have experience in design, development, and implementation of protocols. Affiliated centers also have the unique ability to conduct trials solely within the family of sites.
Using standardized processes, regulatory and finance staff consistently meet and exceed industry standards for completion of regulatory approval and contract execution. In 2008, the affiliated group averaged 38 days for regulatory submission-to-approval, and 34 days for contract and budget receipt-to-execution.
Study teams focus on enrollment, retention, and clean data, striving to provide a professional, “monitor-friendly” environment and enhanced investigator accessibility. As a result of proven success in previous trials, the greatest number of awarded studies (2008) continues to be principal investigator invitations from sponsors (71%). Clinical research associates also provide a large number of trials through contact with study coordinators (15%).
